 2005 Interagency Mail & Messenger Service (IMMS)
IMMS transfers Interagency Mail between state offices in the greater Sacramento area including Davis and Folsom. The deliveries are either once or twice a day depending on the customer's needs. The mail is processed within 24 hours of pickup during the workweek (Monday through Friday). Internal distribution remains the responsibility of the receiving agency.
Each location served by the IMMS is assigned a code number similar to a postal ZIP code. Users should always include the code to insure proper delivery. A current listing of the locations served and their code numbers can be obtained by calling the IMMS at (916) 327-5203 or by downloading the IMMS codes in the Acrobat Portable Document Format.

The IMMS unit also provides messenger service on either a prescheduled or "as needed" basis. For example, payroll can be picked up and delivered at a specific time each month. Other deliveries can be requested as the need arises. Rates are competitive with private companies. However, unlike many private couriers, the IMMS has no minimum charge.
