Printing Procurement

When the Office of State Publishing cannot complete a printing project due to scheduling conflicts, product type or deadline, the project will be vended to a registered OSP supplier on the customer's behalf.

OSP offers a complete printing procurement service, saving customers time and money through the following activities:

  • project coordination between customers and suppliers;
  • development of bid specifications;
  • creating bid lists with certified suppliers from OSP's Supplier Management Program*;
  • awarding purchase orders;
  • ensuring customers receive on-time deliveries and quality results;
  • resolving potential issues before paying supplier invoices;
  • consulting and mediation services;
*OSP's Supplier Management Program consists of two elements:
1) supplier certifications and 2) supplier performance evaluations.
Supplier certifications are used to verify production capabilities, equipment, work samples, and include site visits. Supplier performance evaluations include a review of past performance in four key areas: Quality, Price, Delivery Performance and Responsiveness. Periodic evaluations are shared with each supplier and improvement opportunities discussed, planned, and monitored.
